Leaders work harder than everyone else

Leaders work harder than everyone else and your employees should know it, not by you bragging but by then observing you. Being a hard worker is a forgone conclusion. Thomas Jefferson was quoted as saying “The harder I work the luckier I seem to get”.  That is where RESPECT starts.  Do your employees respect you?  That has more truth than any of us can imagine.  There is a fallacy in our country that you can build a business, hire someone to “run it for you” then sit on your ass, do nothing and collect the piles of cash. NOPE, not going to happen.  That is a recipe for disaster and ultimate failure for your company, your employees and YOU.  The leader’s position is to create strategic steps that have a solid foundation.  Those steps are then left for employees to stand on and maintain.  The leader works OUT IN FRONT of everyone else creating a path free of trouble and pitfalls.  The leader also is available to groom other potential leaders “behind them” to make sure that the employees in the system are following a secure path.  The stress that comes with a leadership position is present because you MUST be aware of everything behind you and everything in front of you, there are no secrets and no surprises.

Leaders are essentially you are working TWO jobs, one in the present and one in the future.  The reward is a secure business that will continue working while you are away.  You work during the week, late into the night and on weekends.  That is the price for the position. If you are struggling to get through to the next level of growth in your practice and need help with systems, help delegating to staff or using technology to integrate your work from work, home and mobile let me know.  That is what I love to do.
